Bride and grooms travel from all over the United States to proclaim their love for one another at our remote and beautiful locations. A wedding should be a reflection of the bride and groom's personalities and desires. We are dedicated to being the "invisible resource" for brides and their families as they prepare to organize and coordinate details for this wonderful time in their lives. Wedding Coordination Services Initial appointment: NO charge. We look forward to meeting with you, learning about your ideas for your wedding and getting to know what your priorities are for planning. Consultation Package: Gather information, ask questions, learn about the area, and familiarize yourself with how to plan your own wedding on the Outer Banks.You will be given a packet of information with brochures, resources and vendor options for hosting your event. Full Service Coordination: As most weddings are planned 6-12 months prior to the wedding date, the full service coordination plan allows for timelines, budget reminders, schedules/appointments/contracts with other providers, menu choice options, party rental coordination (see below), as well as on site assistance for rehearsals, ceremony, and reception. We will be dedicated to your wedding, your happiness, and your satisfaction, and will not commit to any other wedding on your wedding date. Wedding Ceremony and Reception Assistance: We are often asked to help with rehearsals and be on hand for the ceremony and reception without being involved in the planning process. This is always an option for you, but we cannot confirm assistance for your event until 3 months prior to your wedding date. At that time, if we are able to commit to you, we will gather the information and details of your wedding and be on hand to see that your details flow according to your plans. Additional Services: We can assist you with rehearsal dinners, bridesmaid luncheons, or the day after brunches. Save the date letters, itineraries, menu cards, place cards, welcome bags or baskets, bridal gifts, and unique favors are our specialty, so please ask about these options during your visit with us. Allow us to provide you with peace of mind, reliable service, and a professional staff to ensure that your party rentals are handled effortlessly. The Proper Setting staff works in conjunction with Distinctive Event Rentals to coordinate rentals, delivery and pickup of party rental equipment.

Candice and Ray chose the north side of the bridge; secluded and nestled among the live oaks, surrounded by water and overlooking one of the most beautiful sunsets in the world!!
