Hurricane season is from June 1 to November 30 and though the Outer Banks has certainly been affected by the remnants of hurricanes in years past, it has more than not avoided a direct hit, or landfall, that would have caused catastrophic damage. While tracking hurricanes, history proves that the Outer Banks has been more susceptible to hurricane storms in late August and September, with a decline in October. Consider wedding insurance if planning for a wedding during this timeframe. Always ask your providers about their policy on deposits. See hurricane season information here.
